I walked to Hanami (花見 "flower viewing) last Sunday, Apr. 9.
Hanami is Japanese traditional custom of enjoying viewing flower. In this case, we often enjoy cherry (sakura 桜).
Japan has some viewing sakura spots (Hanami spots). So we can enjoy Hanami easily in this season.
Of course, Kochi city has some Hanami spots too. I enjoyed the Hanami with walking from Horikawa (堀川) to Kamimachi (上町).
The root was almost below.
The area from Horikawa to Kutansita is a famous spot of Hanami. There are lot of sakura trees beside artificial river.
Then I walked to side of Kagami-gawa river from Ushioe-bashi bridge. The area is front of Yamanouchi-jinja shrine. There are fewer cherry trees than Horikawa. But it is a nice spot.
Walk through Yamanouchi-Jinja shrine, we arrive at next Hanami spot, Kamimachi (上町)'s Kagami-gawa river side.
There are many people enjoying cooking under cherry trees.
I like this Hanami spot the best in Kochi city.
Then I walked back to Yamanouchi-jinja shrine, there are some Sakuras.
Next I will introduce another Hanami Spot in Kochi; Kochi-jo Castle.
